Stop the Decline 

Here are some of the short term projects that we are doing to Stop the Decline of African Penguins.

Designing and deploying artificial nests to improve breeding success where habitat is degraded (Kevin Graham, Dallas Zoo)

​

Enhancing response to and improving outcomes during local disasters such as oil spills and significant disease outbreaks (Jess Phillips, Maryland Zoo in Baltimore)

​

Enhancing ability to detect and understand the significance of both chronic and emerging medical issues in wild populations (Position vacant)

​

Established Namibia Conservation of Coastal Birds (NAMCOB) to support rescue and rehabilitation by establishing in-colony rangers.
